Fighting for Pensioners Rights

Pensioners should expect

1) Bus passes to allow the over 60's to travel anywhere in the UK.
2) Pensions to be brought inline with inflation.
3) Free eye tests and spectacles for those on state pension and pension credit.
4) The over 60's in fuel poverty to be given the same amount as the over 80's.
5) The Over 60's and the disabled to be given more taxi vouchers.
6) Free TV licence to those on state pension and pension credit.
7) Free statutory bodies to care for the elderly and disabled in their own homes.

Welcome

Faye ElliottWe are an aging population. There are approximately 11 million pensioners in the UK, many of whom are having to make the decision on whether to 'heat or eat'.  This should not be the case in the 21st Century.

We are the 'forgotten generation'.  It is about time the government showed gratitude to those who have either fought or lost loved ones in the second World War, to ensure that this country and the younger generation could benefit from the freedom they fought for.

Millions of pensioners have paid into the system all of their working lives, only to find that they are expected to live on a very meagre pension in their old age.

It is outrageous that some pensioners are being penalised for paying into a private pension and having to pay tax for the second time on this money, also the state pension is reduced if a pensioner has been prudent and paid into a private pension.

I am very passionate about 'Grey power', I wish to be the voice of those who have paid their dues only to be brushed aside by all Governments.

We will not go away, we will fight for our rights, come the local elections in May I would like to see more voters putting their cross by my name so that I can be their voice.
